i used to wear a hat wrapping it around my ears coz heavy steps just meant ear plugs swinging about, the ones that came with the Zen Micro (1gb ) didnt stay in at all, ended up gettin some from the argos catlog, cant remember what they're called (theres no label on 'em exept a few E's), but they came with 3 or 4 different sized covers for the in-ear ( really in the ear!!) and feel comfertable. although i would have to agree that when jogging, the need to hear everything around becomes overwhelming after a while and these ear plugs being really effective as noise reducing, all i can hear is my self gaspin' for o2. for the price though....

I can third the PX100s - great sound, and the fold-up design allows you to put them away neatly even without the box. (every set of inears I've used always end up with the wires impossibly tangled)

i did try at one point to feed the wire through lots of micky dee straws, using the bendy bits to shape, unfortnatly i dont think they had this in mind when they designed them, couldnt get the plug through with cutting the straws, shame really i thought it was a good idea, worthy of a bp badge!!

    Ideal for Jogging

I use a pair of Soundwise e2 for jogging. I used to use Sony MDR-EX71SLs it used to fall out sometimes( think the wire to short on one ear). The Soundwise E2 fits nice and firm and I have no problem at all. The also do a sports earphone S1 ( I think) that looks like it might grip to the most slippy of ears! Its only £15 so would think its worth a try?

    Koss portapro are fantastic.

They look a bit retro, but sound fantastic. And amazon have got them for less than £20 which is a steal as I have seen them at £60 before.

    Wink Best of both worlds?

Given that the two best options for jogging earphones are ear hanging or inear/canal earphones are these cool or what? I must admit they are way to pricey for me, but I can dream!

    Creysyn LMX-MH41

    Hi Guys,

I have a pair of CresynLMX-MH41 and I really like. The build quality is good and sound is very clear with a nice bass. I am not an expert on this kind of stuff but was happy with my purchase. I think I paid around $80 but I think would pay up to $100 for them. I got them duty free in Paris. Great place for duty free wine!

The Sennehiser px100 and Koss portapro are both breat headphones, Also take a look at the koss ksc75 for a cheap clip on ear type.

The PortaPro are very nice and the headphones that opened my ears after years of various Sony earbuds. I find them relatively secure, and the only reason I retired them is because I don't want anything flattening my hair when I am outdoor (and I've got higher end headphones for home use now).

The KSC-75 are very similar to the PortaPro, and I would place them in the same category for most intent and purpose.. with the advantage of not requiring a headband. I find them adequately secure for jogging, although I wouldn't mind them being a little more secure. I've not tried the KSC-35, but they are very well regarded too, and supposed to clip a lil harder.

I've tried the PX100, and they are good too, albeit quite different sounding from the Koss. Push come to shove, I would go Koss, though the main reason I didn't get a pair (for a different flavour) is because of the headband thing really.

Id go for the PX100s as well. I, stupidly went for the PX200s with noisecancellation, which affects the sound quality and also hurts your ears after a while.

Useless when im in the gym or jogging, but when im on the train or something i can listen as loud as i want without pi&*ing anyone off

If anyone wants to straight swap a pair of px100s for px200s, im well up for that.

Do small wireless (e.g. Bluetooth) headphones exists? They would probably have to have an over the ear hook I guess. Having a wire at the gym is a right pain in the arse.

After searching around it seems the technology is not quite there on portable wireless headphones. Quite a few user reviews of Logitech’s Wireless Bluetooth headphones suggest they have a design flaw that causes them to snap. It seems common to suffer drop outs in the Bluetooth connection. Found these Dynamode Bluetooth Stereo Headphones BT-SHS. Difficult to tell if they'll be suitable for the gym.

I use Sennhesier PX-100's and the good thing is that they never come off (being over the head phones).

I have been highly recommend the Koss KSC75, I've ordered a pair but they are yet to arrive. I shall let you know how they sound when they arrive.
