In taking one of the DIMMs from my new kit out of its plastic case (by bending the plastic back so the dimm sprang out - as I've always done to avoid getting fingers too near the gold-contacts) - one of the heat spreaders fell off one of the DIMMs - very easily I was not putting any force on it for obvious reasons - just trying to push the plastic away.
Whats behind it doesnt seem very sticky and it keeps falling off - I've got it held on with sellotape at the present
- Though I've not powered it on yet - still waiting for a PCI-E graphics card.
Do you have any recommendations or is it a couple of weeks downtime and an RMA (to you or supplier ?)
