6GB PC3-1333/DDR3-10666 - heat spreader fell off

In taking one of the DIMMs from my new kit out of its plastic case (by bending the plastic back so the dimm sprang out - as I've always done to avoid getting fingers too near the gold-contacts) - one of the heat spreaders fell off one of the DIMMs - very easily I was not putting any force on it for obvious reasons - just trying to push the plastic away.

Whats behind it doesnt seem very sticky and it keeps falling off - I've got it held on with sellotape at the present - Though I've not powered it on yet - still waiting for a PCI-E graphics card.

Do you have any recommendations or is it a couple of weeks downtime and an RMA (to you or supplier ?)

am i the only one that thinks of "the front fell off" reading that?

and IIRC Corsairs RMA is quite swift (well as swift as posting to another country can be...)

If you just recently got the memory, an RMA to your supplier may be a better option than shipping to the Netherlands. However, if you prefer to RMA to us, we'll happily replace it.

Thanks - I'll leave it a bit now and see how they are and then probably order some faster memory when the prices come down a bit and the RMA these ones.
