Never buy an Asus board!

I wouldn't solely blame Asus TBH.

The root cause is actually Intel......Who got so fed up of bent pins on their CPUs that they moved them to the motherboard....

The company you purchased from should take some responsiblity as well.

And I always take piccies as I unbox motherboards now, I've read too many "bent pin" stories on hexus....

It was more to do with their customer support (or lack of) in the UK rather than the fault/damage itself. If I needed the Northbridge repairing instead for example, I would still be having problems getting the manufacturer to arrange a repair!

The pins on the motherboard are far too weak and are not to the quality of an Intel processor pin. Thats what happens when foxconn make the pins instead of Intel.

Because all retailers class this as customer induced damage regardless of whether or not it was sent like that. They make it so that you have to prove that you didn't damage it. This is why I bought Scan insurance so that theres no arguments but the pins were perfectly in line on my ASrock board.
