Do you have an MX1000 which re-charges?

So lets set the scene - you use it all day and night - it goes flat you forgot to dock it ....

I have fixed the problem - I never dock mine, I'm rubbish at it - I also use it all day and most evenings.

    The fix? Simple....

I realised I had 2 when sorting the office (I had one then got another one painted... so I thought why not have one always charged

A neat fix if you happen to have two - otherwise a tadge expensive. Very ingenious none the less well done

i thought of a great idea for a wireless mouse.

you could have some sort of power cable that connects to the mouse while you are using it keeping it charged all the time and also has the added benefit of stopping you losing your mouse!

what do you think of my idea? i cant believe no one has thought of it before

Didn't Microsoft do it for the 360?

Nah, good idea, just hasn't been demanded by the public

The other option, of course, is to use the trackpad on a laptop to do it, should you forget to charge the mouse. Works rather well for me

I do this with my wireless headphones; I bought a second pair for a relative, they didn't need them in the end, so I kept them.

I must admit I prefer the lack of a wire with my MX1000, especially with my cluttered desk

Mines gone flat - but it was after 3 weeks of reasonably intense use (CS:S C&C Generals, plus normal every day use)

I do something similar but not as expensive.

My MX700 uses AA batteries and I keep some of the rechargables I've got spare and always on charge so when it starts to flash red, I simply remove the bottom, swap batteries and then put the old ones in the USB charger and away they go.

    Simple and effective
