    IPS Monitor for PC gaming?

    Hi

Need suggestions for 23"-24" IPS monitors. Like the title says I will be using it mostly for PC gaming, thanks.

Re: IPS Monitor for PC gaming?

Was actually thinking about getting either the U2410, U2412M or the U2312HM. I take it the U2410 isn't worth the extra money right?

Exactly - the TFT guy goes into more detail though. The M actually benefits from reduced input lag due to the simplified processing.

Re: IPS Monitor for PC gaming?

The U2410 was one of the early IPS Dell panels IIRC.

You can get LED equivalents far cheaper now, like the U2212HM.

LG has decent E-IPS monitors, like the IPS225V/IPS235V/IPS226V/IPS236V

Also, AOC has some too. I can't recall the models

Re: IPS Monitor for PC gaming?

Yeah, the LGs are well worth a look. They make a huge proportion of the actual panels anyway, so whatever you do, you may well end up with a screen made by LG.

I would look at the Asus PA238Q too.

Re: IPS Monitor for PC gaming?

The LG monitors looked pretty good considering their price, however they can only tilt which is something I'm not a fan of. Decided to pick the U2412m over the Asus PA238Q seeing as it's bigger and has the higher resolution for around £20 more. Thanks anyway.

If you intend to do any image editing the Asus would be better, although the Dell probably has the edge for gaming.

The Dell also has that zero stuck pixel guarantee.

Yeah it does, more reason to buy the Dell.

There's always the possibility of adding a monitor arm. If ever at the point of being able to have a new monitor and I find one with a stand that's lacking, I'd always keep that in mind nowadays.

I would suggest getting the dell E IPS monitor the colour accuracy for the Ultrasharps should be pretty accurate but they get better if you calibrate them ... check out some reviews ..

Re: IPS Monitor for PC gaming?

Do you know whether Dell honours the warranty if you buy a monitor from a vendor instead of their website? I notice that the price of their monitors on their e-shop is way above in comparison to the vendors....I'm just wondering if there's a reason for this
