Selling ET Quake Wars on Ebay

I haven't played Quake Wars since a few short weeks after release, so I want to sell my copy on ebay. The thing is, am I going to just annoy the buyer because the cd key is now tied to my account? Might it be a bad move or is it totally OK? I dont want to sell someone something they can't use.

If your just selling the game which cant be used then I dont think you can do that...

You dont want to sell the account - so you want to keep the account. To use it? Or just so that no-one else can.

IMo it would be pretty useless to anyone who bought it.

IF there own copy of the disc is trashed then surely they could contact the publisher and get a replacement disc?

Well I'll be selling the manual with the CD key on it as well, but I'm just not sure if the key is tied to me now. I know I don't want someone else running around with my ingame name and stats.

if you were selling it as "disc only" you'd get about £5 for it... not worth the time. If you sold the account with it, you might get a little bit more, but its a dodgy thing to trade and its hard for ebay to know if anything goes wrong (meaning either of you could end up losing out) not a smart idea.

Maybe it would be a better idea to trade it with a different game account with someone on a forum?

To be honest, I don't know anyone who would buy just the disk. It's pointless. Which means you would need to sell the account with it. Or, check to see if there is a way to cancel/delete your account, meaning the cd-key is free to use once again and you can sell it as a full package?

I decided to check, so I reinstalled the game to check and I was able to create a new acoount with my cd key, so anyone that buys my copy should be fine. I also was able to delete my account.
