Xbox 360 Wireless Cotroller + Plug N Play Kit + PC Compatible?

Hey there, basically I have a Wireless 360 Controller, I have attatched my Plug N play kit to it and plugged into my computer downloaded some drivers ect, but my computer only picks up new hardware as some random USB device. Is it possbiel to connect to a PC with a plug n play kit ? I heard wireless controllers don't work is that correct even with the Plug and play kit?

The Play'n'Charge kit is exactly that, just a charger.

You need the wireless USB receiver to use the pads with a windows pc.
