    Buying games on steam (UK)?

Sorry if this is a really stupid question, but if you buy a game, say Counter Strike Source (which is $9.99) are those in the UK charged the current exchange rate? (Almost exactly a fiver).

    Thanks guys!

oh yes, the Government want a cut of your CS:S and add VAT to it. VAT on a digital download, doesn't seem right to me.

Only if that download has no value. But if it did that, why are you paying for it?

Re: Buying games on steam (UK)?

Funnliy enough i just fired up Steam yesterday with a couple of my gaming mates and remembered how useful it is for us to be able to find games together that we like, and to play each other online.
Spent about 3 hours doing Trackmania Nations (yes, the free thing) for loads of fun.

The only issue for me is about how easy it is to back-up what you have paid for.
If you are anything like me, a Windows install doesnt last much more than 6 months before a wipe and re-install.
I'm commenting on an internet forum. Your facts hold no sway over me.
