Do GH:WT instruments work with RB2 on the 360?

GH is out on the 14th and I'm tempted to pick it up but I would like to know if I can use the drums and guitars ok with RB2. I don't want to buy 2 lots of instruments, if they don't I will wait for RB2.

I see on the new GH guitar that it has the lower fret buttons like the original RB guitars do, do these work with RB2?

    Thanks for any help

according to this site (dubyadubyadubya.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=19902 I'm not allowed to post URLS!) they will be cross compatible. But having said that, I read a story the other day mentioning the EULA for Guitar Hero World Tour and that it states that Activision prohibit the use of other peripherals with their game.

I do, however, doubt the touch-pad buttons from GH3 will work with RB2.

Don't think that really answered your question though, sorry!

If the RB2 drums are same layout as RB1 (i.e., four pads) then I don't see the GHWT drums being compatible, being as they are 3 drum pads and 2 cymbal pads.

Can't say about the guitars though, I haven't seen what they're like on RB1/2.
