Razer annouced the best ever (1ms) wireless mouse, the 'mamba', and tbh it looks absolutely stunning.

Also the stupidest ever price at $120/€120

Yep, some even come with weights to suite you

I've had a diamondback but broke a few years ago, I've been using the viper since but I think this one is dying too.
I'm thinking of getting the steelseries laser, they seem to get good reviews so going to give it a go.

I have the G9 Laser, and i think it's great. You can change the weight of the mouse which is pretty cool, albeit a bit of a gimmick. And i like the fact you get both rough and smooth mouse covers depending on how you like it to feel.

Saying that i still prefer the MX Revolution that i have attached to the other PC.

Re: 'Gaming' mice - worth it?

i have the G5 BF2142 edition and it has the weights in

previously i have owned a g7 mx510 mx518 and they were all good

i like the g5 but the weight thing is a bit of a gimmick i just chucked a few weights in it and said that'll do and have never adjusted it in 2 years.

It depends on what type of game you play, for FPS games definitely.
I have used the MX518 and the death adder and both are fantastic

Re: 'Gaming' mice - worth it?

I happened to be in the right part of London last week so I popped into YoYo Tech but they didn't have any mice to try... What's the point in having a real shop if the one good reason for having it isn't accomodated?

I might bite the bullet soon and just order one at random.

Have you used a gaming mouse before to compare ?

I thought my mouse was good, comfortable etc. but my mx518 and my Habu are both much much better.

Re: 'Gaming' mice - worth it?

I have a G9 now, works well though the coating on the larger of the two supplied sleeves is starting to come away. Before that I went through two Razer Copperheads, they performed really well but I don't think they're particularly well put together.
What we share with everyone is glum, and dark...

Re: 'Gaming' mice - worth it?

I'm still using an MX510 (nearly 5 years old) and it's still going strong - I've replaced the feet with some teflon ones that came with my Steel Series mouse mat, but aside from that it's absolutely perfect.

That new Razer looks rather lovely though...**ponders splashing some cash**

I went out and bought a Habu this weekend, great mouse, it is surprising how much of a difference it makes (over my old MX1000).

Re: 'Gaming' mice - worth it?

yeah it's the best imo, exact same shape as the intellimouse explorer 3.0, but with the great razer tech

only problem is i'm on the second pair of teflon feet and they're close to being worn out

I'll keep an eye out for that, I'm using an Icemat (glass) so hopefully they shouldn't wear out too fast.
