I used to use a cheap mouse form PC world then discovered the Cyber Snipa Stinger and never looked back. If you need a mouse that can use macros this is the one to get. it is absolutely brilliant

Smart man, its good to know that there other people beside myself that appreciate that mouse. Except maybe the G9 (which also has macros) it is the best mouse I've ever used.

I use a Razer Deathadder and from my experience it was definitely worth the money. Not just because of great performance, but the build quality seems excellent even compared to the Logitech mice I have used in the past.

I personally like the saitek cyborg, decent dpi(3200) and has alot of buttons which are: 5way dpad, 2 back/forward button and 1 thumb button. So far its comfortable to use(had over a few months) and reliable.

The logitech g9 comes with two covers, a rubbery plastic one for grip, and a smooth rubber one for general use.

Using a G9 and love it. I find it extremely comfortable to use (interchangeable "shells" and weights inside the mouse allow you to tailor it to your own preferences), and find the sensivity changing switch on top very useful for my needs.

Like everything branded as "gaming", they are usually quite the reverse. Gaming 5.1 headphones, fatality gaming mouse, razer laser bull****...the list goes on. Have you ever been to a tournament where the winner uses a razer mouse ?

A lot of players ask me about my hardware setup and they cannot believe it when I say I use 5dollar microsoft mouse.

A gaming mouse is a mouse u feel comfortable holding, and doesn't skip when you flick it quickly. Period.

Agreed, extra buttons on the mice can make things easier, but when you are used to just press keys on the keyboard it's hard to start doing it.

Don't see the point in spending £50 for a mouse tbh.

Re: 'Gaming' mice - worth it?

still using my mx1000 that i bought when they first released, the battery still lasts for several days of use on a single charge..

it's been used so much that all markings have come off.

i've got my eye on the mx1100 atm as a replacement, i can't stand wires on a mouse and these logitech 2.4ghz radio ones are very responsive.

Re: 'Gaming' mice - worth it?

Well, I just got my logitech G5 coutesy of scan - very pleased with it. Chose it because of a similar layout to my (now retired) MS optical mouse. It feels good in the hand, I like the button placement and it seems very sensitive. Probably worth £30 imho

Must say, I have grown to hate wireless mice. Give me a Razer diamondback corded anyday of the week on a decent pad. Wouldn't swap it for anything.

I'm using a razor krait, with a steelseries mousemat, and find it excellent in games. The only thing is it's a bit small but I'm use to it now.
