I use the logitech desktop for bluetooth set (the one with the mx900), along with a ratpadz GS. I've got a nostromo pad for fps games and a sidewinder pro I use for racing and sometimes platform games.

Well I've used a fair range of devices over the years but my trusty keyboard and mouse always see me through. I use the keyboard from the Logitech cordless desktop optical set with an intellimouse explorer 3.0

I have a Logitech rumble pad for racing games etc, works great in mafia for the driving sections

As for joysticks I use an MS FF2 mostly, but I like using the ST90 (the portable fold up one) as it's so comfortable in my hand. Logitech joysticks are good as well

Used the Thrusmaster tactical board which is just too complex to learn to use really and set up. The claw is the easiest of this type of controllers to set up but has limited functionality but is very comfortable to play with. Works fantastically well for games like splinter cell without too many controls to master. The Belkin Nostromo game controller is he best though especially the new n52 which improves on the n50, it's not too much hassle to set up and has some useful extras like a scroll wheel and D-Pad

As for joystick, I have a few - I use an XFX ps2 style pad for general games, and I am looking at getting a decent joystick for flighty style games ( if I can get off the floor in IL-2 )

My current gaming input devices are
    Logitech formula force steering wheel
    Logitech MX300 mouse
    Cherry cybo@rd keyboard
    Wacom A5 pen tablet
    MS Sidewinder Pro Joystick
    Game commander v2 voice recognition

    Possible future additions & upgrades
    Belkin nostromo speedpad N52
    Cheap USB Gamepad
    Saitek X45 Flight Stick

Voice recognition should be a standard feature in new games. It is ideal for issuing command orders and requesting status reports whilst simultaneously engaged in piloting or controling in the conventional way.

Motion detection should feature in more games via low cost web cam and used in conjunction with voice recognition. Certain games would benifit from a more relaxed and natural interface.

Trying to decide if a Boomslang/Icemat are worth the money.
Also wondering whether FF steering wheel for around £80.00 is a good investment.
And ditto with Joystick - are they worth it? I've never used one, Only flight sim I play is Secret Weapons Over Normandy.

Have bought the icemat and am using it with a MS Optical Mouse v1. Doesn't work vey well (twichy) but i think it the mouse. If anyone can suggest a good (wireless combo for this mat then let me know.

    Cheers

    Logitech Wingman Gaming Mouse
    Clicky keyboard
    A mouse mat
    Saitek Cyborg 3d Digital (orig)

Damn mouse rocks, proper clicky keyboard mapped to the arrows 'cos I like it that way and plain 'ole mouse mat. The joystick is wonderfull but suffers a little drift so I could do with the USB version really.

    I want:
My work Dell mousemat, easily the smoothest fabric pad I've ever used.
My Dads new Saitek Cyborg EVO joystick because it has all the best features of the original, is a joy to use and has a more stable base.

Am I the only one who uses the n52?

I did try the strategic commander (very limited programability) and the original n50 (not enough keys, wheel was useless) and didn't use either of them much.

The n52 is much better - can highly recommend it - doesn't suffer from the 'too many keys' problem the original n50 had either. Took a gamble ordering it from whatfraud, cause they had it first and a reasonable price (~25UKP IIRC). Keys are a bit stiff from new, but ease up with use. Use it for every game now (even C&C).

(link: http://www.savastore.com/products/pr...10273509&pid=1 £23.50inc - everywhere else seems to be 30)

Have a sidewinder FF Pro and a Cyborg 3d Digital in a cupboard somewhere - both gameport so no decent drivers, making the FF Pro useless, and the Cyborg has drift like Vimeous's.

Not forgetting them, a MS Natural Pro (can't go back to a non natural keyboard now) and a mx700 on a ratpad GS. Tried the Razor mice - and didn't like - don't think much of the new explorers either (like v.1 and v.3 - but v.4s non clicky wheel with the useless side scrolling - I don't).
