Hi there guys/gals, I'm one of the leads over at Vertical Horizon studios, a small team trying to bring the classic space sim genre back into the wild, using Cryengine2.
The team was formed from a collective group of people, fed up with the current state of the genre, which is pretty much abandonware. I state now, we are NOT building an openworld/sandbox game, we are building a mission/story-driven single player game, in the vein of Freespace or Tie Fighter.
The game will be a full 3d flight sim, and whilst we're not going to make it mind-bogglingly complicated to play, it's not going to be suitable for your arcade junky gamer; there will be shields, there will be ammo counts, and you will be flying from a cockpit, not 3rd-person etc. Also, don't expect to just wander up to a capital ship and hope for the best, they will be BIG.
Anyway, enough about what we're doing; here's our June/July media update.
Hope you enjoy it!
"July Update:
Welcome to the July Update for X32I Redemption, in this update we will be taking a look at a couple of work in progress 3D models, the UEA Turret Rail Gun, and one of the UEA shuttle designs.
Also in this update is the brand new teaser for X32I Redemption which contains custom music composed by our team composer, Gareth Coker.

[I don't know how to embed video here unfortunately]
Please note the full teaser is available in YoutubeHD.
A little Info about the Teaser:
TheMightySpud created both Logo videos, as well as the broken player ship model. Richard Jeferies created the original models.
The teaser takes place at the start of the game, first showing the Player character, David Greenhall's, ship destroyed after what appears to have been a massive battle, and now with heavy cruisers floating now as debris.
Screenshots:
Here are a couple of screenshots from the same level the Teaser video was created from which where previously used as a teaser... for the teaser .
