Seriosuly i mean whats the point? playing a campaign last night on expert and a guy joins, finish a chapter with him hes got 264 kills and 260 of those are headshots, was quite funny watching him spin on the spot in all directions killing everything but why? how can anyone get enjoyment out of it?
thats the problem with internet these days. its not just l4d its every single game now. There isnt a single server out there that is hacker free. i cant find a single non hacker cod4 server either now.
what really puzzles me is, people who write these hack, i do understand if they use it them selves because they created it. but why do they give them out? do they not realise it will just comeback to haunt them?

thats one of the main reasons im thinking of quitting cod4 competativly, its just not fun when u play against a team who all know were u are
Do you get pcws off IRC or play in a league?
I mean most decent leagues require x-ray anti-cheat to be used during matches which usually catches most culprits to alleviate the frustration you're experiencing.

I can understand why people do it in games like COD4 and CS:S to get a edge but why L4D? i mean its teambased v a computer...it doesn't make sense.

People do it to piss others off. They don't do it for a sense of achievement at getting the most killer, they do it to try and get a reaction by ruining peoples games. Trolls, my friend, trolls are the cancer of online games.

I don't know how effective PB is but granted not every anti-cheat program is full proof as cheaters are persistent people.
I still play CS:S competitively and the only serious problem I've had with cheaters has been on the occasional public server or IRC game which I'd promptly leave.
But some people have a tendency cry foul too easily particularly if they're getting thoroughly beaten by someone good.
I'll second that, the amount of CS 1.6 public servers I've been banned from just for popping the admins head is rediculous.
i dont tend to moan tbh about cheaters now, i just get on with the game generaly hoping to get out their way and not be in direct line with them.

I played COD5 last night when some knob decided to use a heal hack, effectively making him invincible. At first he claimed it was because he was so good, but eventually enough people complained and the mod looked into it and discovered the hack. So moaning can be useful sometimes
The whole reason why single player is due a big come back. I play online here and there but mainly in EVE these days, everything else may aswell be single player. A few spoil it for the majority.
Same here, I very rarely play; pick and play matches in FPS games now. Unless I'm playing on a private server I don't bother at all tbh. Most of my multiplayer time is spent on EVE.
Real shame, ruined a lot of the fun and community. Most public servers have at least one hacker on, and even if they don't, anyone doing well just through talent gets all kinds of accusations thrown at them.
