A video of the first mission has been leaked.
Whilst graphically it looks excellent (I think the footage is from the xbox going by the reload commands) I can't say I'm at all impressed by the linear run and gun gameplay.
Seems to me that every Call of Duty game since the first has lost that sense of being one soldier in a war and not John Rambo. This just looks like lightweight arcade nonsense. I'll probably buy it but I'm far more excited about the new Operation Flashpoint.

Looks very nice, but that had to be on very easy mode or something that guy was eating up bullets and rpg's. You couldn't get away with soaking up that much damage at any reasonable difficulty in the last one.
I think it would have seemed a lot better on a harder mode where he couldn't of got away with just charging around on full auto IMO. Either the NPC's never shut up or he was moving a lot faster than the mission was designed for.

i personally hate all the leaked stuff. Why? its not going to make any difference at all. it just spoils for people when they do actually buy the game

It's not exactly leaked either though, if you follow @fourzerotwo on twitter they are linking to the leaked video's themselves so they are using them to build hype.

Does anyone really care about the single player? Yes, it's shaping up to be good, but the MP is what people play CoD for.
but cod4s multiplayed sucks to, its full off nade spamers. and the fact they made 3 frags made it even worse. maps like wetwork are no longer playable.
has anyone actually ever got a aimed kill in wetwork or shipment?

It's looking smooth, if they can create a similar atmosphere to the last games campaign I'll be more than happy, it might have been a bit short but it was very well done in my opinion.
The most exciting thing in the walkthrough I just watched is prospect thermal scopes/suppressors for the sniper rifles in multiplayer to be honest, much as I want a good single player campaign, it's all about the online stuff
Hundreds. Three frags is a pain granted but throw UAV jammer on and dead silence and the number of times you'll die from random frags won't be half what it once was. Shipment is by it's very nature kind of a death box but if you adjust your play style a little you can still get a good kill/death ratio, wet work I used to hate and despise but with the perks I mentioned previously and a little adjustment to how I move around the map it's playable at least
The only thing that really sucks about COD4's multiplayer aside from little niggles and a burning desire for new content is the people that play the game, people that don't work as a team/glitch/team kill and stupidly good players that must live on Xbox live etc. Unfortunately there's very little Infinity Ward or anybody else can do about that, it's a contingent that exists in almost every online FPS.
My favourite line of attack for wetwork is to sneak around with UAV jammer and a silenced weapon. If you can dodge the nades it's fine.
CoD5 is better on those terms as the nades are less powerful and 9/10 times you can avoid them (as long as you are not on hardcore).
I care - MP for it doesn't interest me one bit.

snipering on wetwork is always fun! bang down 2 claymores and pick the poor fool off who tries to set up and sniper on the other side after he's just spent ages placing their claymores

+1I care - MP for it doesn't interest me one bit.
I've only played MP CoD4 a couple of time, it just isn't my bag. It's all about the SP for me.
