Problems with xbox live.

Recently had my xbox back from being repaired and was sent a 1 month gold subscription card. Now I have tried to sign on to xbox live but it won't let me. It keeps saying 'this windows live id is associated with a different gamertag. Enter another windows live id and password'- Now I only have one gamertag apart from the one created by mistake for another profile on my xbox when I tried to sign in from MW2. I then deleted this profile (it had nothing on it as I had only just created it) I re-assigned my profile and could see all my game history.

Do I have to link my windows live id to the xbox live???

Problem solved!! Forgot when i sent my xbox back I had to create some new xbox live account.

Edit: And now i get error code 80154013 just after making a new gamer tag (not sure why i need another) grggrgrgr this is getting frustrating!!!

Was going to suggest the same but didn't see the edit.

Ok just tried to do that but it could not get a connection so did the connection text on the xbox. It says there is a problem. My xbxox is connected via powerline plug!
