The action maps, is it only the beta testers that need to update in the way they say?

Re: Mechwarrior: Living Legends (Crysis mod)

I've seen the install instructions around a few places. Here's the more basic version I've seen:

Upon downloading the mod you should have an archived directory.

This directory should be extracted to your Crysis install Directory which usually looks like “C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\”

    Replacing Action-Maps

For MWLL to function properly we have adjusted an created an actionmap for players to begin with.
You MUST replace your Crysis Action maps.

To do this, copy the file “example_actionmaps_for_joystick.xml”
Paste this file your Crysis profile contained in

    mydocuments\mygames\Crysis\default\
    mydocuments\mygames\Crysis\YOURUSERNAME\

The file must be renamed to actionmaps.xml

*From the quick look I've had the actionmaps gives you the updated keybinds.

    Launching the game

You may launch the game using the MWLL Laucher
MWLL Launcher.exe is contained in Crysis\Mods\mwll folder
Alternatively you can add a –mod mwll in the target of a shortcut to the crysis executables. It will look like this “"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Bin64\Crysis.exe" -mod mwll”

Re: Mechwarrior: Living Legends (Crysis mod)

    It's multiplayer only yes.

When you load the mod the menu backgrounds and colours will change.

    Mutiplayer -> Internet

So far I've been sticking to "(TLL) Matchbox #2 EU-UK".

I've had some good gameplay on that clans servers.

Just played a quick game and quite enjoyed it actually, completely different from CoD4 of course and getting used to the mechs was fun.

Well tell said friend to return it at once, or you will set an Assault Mech on him!

Re: Mechwarrior: Living Legends (Crysis mod)

I think they've a solid base going, the bugs I've come across have already been known about.

A basic point that is missing and from what I read was something there only thinking about is squads.

At this time you're just out there solo unless you happen to be within radar range of someone who also wants to stick together.

The couple times I've heard in game voice it's been unusable.

Some good varied game play but it doesn't take much to unbalance the sides at this time.

Re: Mechwarrior: Living Legends (Crysis mod)

Agreed with Giest, the squads would make such a difference. You go up against a mech on your own and your pretty much dead, but two or three and the mech is stuck for targets.

I really hope they add squads to the game.
