Zak's answered most of that already - he wants a more debate/discussion style thread than discrete reviews - they're just to start it off I imagine. As for knowing who they are, well we all PM'd Zak and the first however many got it, and he's listed us a few posts earlier. There was no judgement based on prior experience etc afaik.

It's an interesting way of reviewing a game - actually quite similar to how some focus groups are run, only this will be in the open for everyone to read.

Zak didn't mention time frames though, so while I can certainly do stuff over the weekend, I'm busy during the week. Hopefully the contributions up to and after that point will be okay though.

no.. you're all safe on the MMORPG genre... it's certainly not that.

I spoke to some nice people recently and they were interested in the community (ie you load of loons) getting some free stuff, but working out how to get free stuff is tricky.

And then, because of what Steven is doing, getting some public to review games, I thought I'd go the Zak-Extra-Mile and do it my way

My guess .... the company want a blend of feedback from a variety of actual users, from a broad community, not a single view from a professional reviewer. That's valid too, of course, providing the reviewer is competent and conscientious, which not all are, but it's still a single viewpoint. You'll get a broad spread and balance of views this way.

To be honest, I'm surprised there isn't more of this type of thing. Nice one, Zak.
