Haven't seen a single UAC issue with this game. Mind I start Steam [] with admin rights

Don't mind me. It was just the 'I don't get UAC problems' followed swiftly by 'I run it as admin' so it's not really a surprise you don't get UAC problems

I run in a limited account but start steam with admin rights due to steam having issues where it wouldn't save settings etc.

Is that how you get rid of those annoying cd key messages, i managed on the last build but i recently had to rebuild my PC and its doign it again even after i tick the 'do not display this message again' box.

Nah you still get that the first time you run the games on steam, but just hide them and you shouldn't see them. Although saving the steam folder when I rebuild and copying it back over it remembers all the settings etc.

Thanks for the tip of on that! didnt even know you could, just had a blast with music from dmc1 and 3, fits perfectly

So far, Exodus, Slayer and Fear Factory are my music of choice in the game

Well getting it downloaded was no real big issue, I let it come down over night whilst I was sleeping. The issue I have is that the game won't run. I can get to the main menu, change all my settings etc.

But before I go online I want to do a bit of single player practice, and the game hard locks my PC

Running an Intel CPU by any chance? Seems there are a lot of us suffering with this game that hits your cpu and gpu 100% and the temps rocket. Locking the vsynch seems to help and then using the console to lock the game at 60fps and no more. Seems to be affecting anything from Duo's to the latest i7's. Very little reported on AMD chips.

It's mentioned in the steam forums somewhere about the 100% usage issue and the temps with hard locks etc.
