    pete i'm sure the AI in doom1 could outsmart you hehe, anyhow @ kez, i thought you were talking about the multiplayer levels (ie crossfire and frenzy and stuff), not too sure about the scripting from hl1 being able to be imported to hl2 but who kows

    Oh I'm sure they'll port the multi levels - but half-life's multiplayer was crap really (crap but incredibly fun on crossfire!) Luckily the engine meant TFC and Cstrike were amazing games (I love TFC, can't wait for TF2!)

    Anyway, yes, I mean the single player levels, as for me, that's what made HL. Imagine pixels shaders on Gargantuans!
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Alas, uness Half Life II is something very special, I can see the same thing happening again.

    Still, Doom III, Half Life II, Rome: Total War. Plenty for my X800XT to cut its teeth on.

    Now to save the pennies.
    Dont forget Stalker, that does look great. However that really will play better on nvidia . I think its sad that we are heading towards the need for two cards

    This is why I am loathing Half Life 2, Counter Strike when I tried it was a cheaters heaven and full of script kiddies, hence why I now have a distinct hatered for counter strike (better games out there by miles) If counter strike 2 even makes it to a release I will proceed to purchase tickets to the states, go to valve and proceed to chainsaw them into little pieces, oh yeah and burn all traces of CS code just for good measure.

    HL2 has been hyped far to much and I feel as other have said it will not live up to the expectations. When the tech video came out last year it looked amazing, now we are seeing more and more games appear which run along side HL2 if not surpass it. If they managed to release it earlier then maybe HL2 would match everyone's expectations and more, but for this September, only time will tell.

    Yeah there is a 640*480 version which is crystal clear (apparently). You can find it on Fileplanet from what I hear.....

    CS on the HL2 engine looks damn nice
