any opinions of the demo so far? still chugging my way through Napoleon:TW atm
I only had very brief go on it last night! So far I thought it was really good with very nice gfx (all set to ultra high), and the game mechanics were mostly the same. Not had a chance to play around with the different units. I won't spoil anything but there is a nice twist in the battle you can play, and it will interesting to see this play out in the full game.
As I have only just got my new system I have not played any Napoleon:TW :| Going to have to play these two 50/50 lol
Finally won the damn historical battle but only on Normal... and even then it was after 5-6 tries.
Was lucky as well, ended up killing only 100 more than i lost (which was a lot).
Nice to se they are not afraid of showing off the campaign map like they were with Empire (iirc it was the batle of brandywine only).
I can remember the demo from the first shogun. you had 2 spearmen two archers and two cav asI remember it on one map . That was pretty groundbreaking for the time unfortunately this is not hugely better than the previous games.
I'll try the historaical battle after teh tutorial. The special abilities seem to be very important; the spear wall of the ashigaru is very effective. Unit balance and strategy is similar to the first one although the ashigaru actually look like a decent unit this time around.
Anyone else not get AA options?
No AA options here on GTX 460 and latest drivers.

Looks lovely, gameplay seems solid. I just just hope I'm not the only one it took hours to win that battle
