    Star Wars Battlefront

Well I got this yesterday and i've played the singleplayer which is quite fun.

its basically Battlefield 1942 but with Star Wars everything. (You can already get a free mod for BF1942 which turns it into the star wars world).

It is fairly polished, although obviously not really a proper story to it and so it quite repetative in parts.

    Overall i'd give it a 7.5/10

yeah i would agree about 7-8/10. and it could do with some polishing imo a few glitches.roll on the first patch.game has potential but would improve if some larger maps are added either as free download or user mods.

edit:was dissapointed in it supposedly having all the battles from SW but they meant ground battles. SW imo is incomplete without either of the 2 attacks on the deathstar.hmmmm what a great game if they make Star Wars Battlefront 2: The Space Battles.

I'm quite interested in this game, would like to get some LANage going with it.

Does it have a Co-Op mode, imho no Battlefield "copy" is complete without bots!

Its better than battlefield mod cause the scripting is better.
I remember a certain map on BF vietnam where some of my soilders where just running into hills. i just capped them out of anger!

I always wanted to just be a stormtrooper!

    Not a classic but fun.

Also got COD united off its pretty intense!!!

Is COD UO at all chunky, or does it take under 5 hours to finish?

Games the same just more missions only on level 3 so the new best stuff is to come. Not played it for long been playing battlefront and my mate is in love so he's round mine playing sims 2 until i killed his kids. last night ( he does not know this yet!)

Anyway aint completed it yet. 13missons in total i think, done missions 1-3 = 1 1/2 hrs so anything from5-10hrs to completion

Good for a quick blast, maps are small but good. Also good for watching Darth Vader kick arse!

This game seems great until you get in a vehicle, then you realise just how bad it is.

Theres a patch that improves multiplayer by removing quite a lot of lag, so soon too!

LucasArts has issued the first patch for Pandemic Studios' scifi shooter Star Wars Battlefront. This upgrade brings your retail game to v1.00a and enhances NAT negotiation for online games, and addresses a small problem with the server browser screen

I've never played BF1942 but I loved Team Fortress Classic. Would you say that Star Wars is similar to TFC?

More evidence of a lack of originality from lucasarts. Don't get me wrong, the game isn't bad, but at one time Lucasarts were real innovaters, now they just jump on popular bandwagons.

Personally, i would have preferred to have seen Sam and Max 2
