    Alien Vs Predator 3

Is there an Alien Vs Predator 3 FPS in developement?
I would prefer a new AVP3 game than Stalker anyday!
AVP2 was such a kick ass game, a perfect example that gameplay & atmosphere is everything!

It would be so cool combining avp2 gameplay & atmposphere with modern 3D engines.
Can't wait for part 3 if there is going to be one...

Yeh I absolutely loved AVP2, incredible game. I would like them to make another one on a new engine, perhaps they will

That would be soo cool!!! And hopefully scary, just like the orignal AvP. Love a game that makes you jump half out of your chair.

AVP2 was fantastic, the online side of things was really poor though. If they do develop something, lets hope they get it sorted first!

The coolest thing about AVP2 was its story line & the way that elements from the 3 campaigns mix at some points.
I liked that a large part of the story unfolds by reading all those emails, PDAs & papers you find laying around each level & the information prologue being displayed with the date in the beginning of each level, added a lot to the story.

AVP3 on a new engine = more realistic, more scaryier, more... better!! woo!

Lets hope they decide to do it, tho knowing the industry they will prob base the levels and maps on the film :/

AVP1 & 2 levels borrowed elements from all Predator & Alien movies.

The AVP movie took elements from the games & so on.

The bad thing will be if they turn AVP movie into a game.

    AVP2 was so scary.
I screamed like a girl when the Alien Face Hagger got me!

well the movie didnt really take from the games... they also said that in interviews, it was more based on comics / books. However you can be more or less be certain they will make a console game called "AVP: the movie" or some **** like that. Or AVP3 wont be anything to do with the film but they will still make it a console game aswell (which will spoil it becuase it will be dumbed down)

edit: scarest thing i remember about AVP2 is when marine and near the start of the game you are walking though a tunnel thats leads to where you turn the power on and the ceiling colapses and a pipe the same shape as an alien head drops down.

    Yeah I remember that part.

It was also scary when you go as Marine, in the abandoned alien infested base right after you leave the mechanical tower.

That's when you first face Aliens in great numbers in dark & tight spots.
    Scary level.

What I liked about this game was that it wasn't like a maze & not too linear either.

I bought AvP 2 on day of release, still havnt purchased the Primal Hunt addon though.

I really enjoyed the Marine and Predator scenarios, Predators weapons were amazing to say the least and the Marines scenario was just damned scary especially getting hunted by the Predator near the end.

Sound effects on it were very true to the origional films also, guns and everything sounded just like Aliens film (Coporal Hicks was a great character ! )

Never really got away with the Alien scenario on this one though, could never get off the first level. Managed to get a few screens into it then got fried by 2 guys with a flamethrower in the corridor.

Apparently with the Alien scenario you arnt missing much I've been told though. Its not really true to any of the films with it being a single Alien, as everyone knows the Aliens are like ants, hive mind and stick together.

Superb game though. It shows that you dont need fancy graphics to create great atmosphere and storyline

Actuallt the Alien Scenario unfolds lot of elements & secrets not shown in the other 2 scenarios.
The people that told you that have probably not passed level one with the Alien.

    All 3 were great scenarios.

    Primal Hunt was ok.
It was cool the way the 3 stories are linked & the start off from where they each finish.
But the original AVP2 is better.
