    GTR Query

Not too long till the UK version of GTR comes out ....

.... but does anyone know whether the 24 Proximus Spa add-on is going to be compatible? All the links from the GTR-Game site are to German sites, that's all.

Other than that, can't wait for it to come out. Downloaded the demo a few days ago - am now waiting, steering wheel and pedals in hand, for it to get dropped through my letterbox.

The game which will come on the CD in this country will be version 1.3, which already includes the 24 Hours add-on. You won't need to download anything

I imported it from Germany about 4 months ago, and trust me its a cracker

Cheers for that! Won't bother downloading either yet.

And YES, it is a cracker, can be a bit wild at times though! Did a 180 in the Saleen S7 last night coming out of Eau Rouge (bit too much right foot), ended up doing a J-turn at about 100 mph to get the car pointing in the right direction ... I'm not sure driver skill had much to do with it, but it looked sweet on the replay!

Incidentally, could you shed any light about the contents of the 24 hours add on (cars, tracks etc.). I know someone posted that query on the GTR website forum, but I don't remember having seen any details.

Yup, the 24 Hour add on basically means you get 3 extra tracks. Spa Dawn, Spa Dusk and Spa Night.
When racing a full 24 Hour race (although you can shorten it) you will race each track for 6 hours. The game will then pause itself and load the next track and you will carry on at the point you left off. The 24 hour add-on also includes a save game feature, so you dont actually have to site there non stop for 24 hours racing
    Hope that made sense.
You can also do an individual race in each of the different Spa circuits.

You also get a couple of new cars - the Seat Toledo GT, Mosler MT900, Gillet Vertigo Streiff and Porsche 911 GT2.
There will also be a Lamborghini Diablo put up for download when some licensing issues have been sorted.

I didn't think they were going to let us have the Diablo? Have those issues been resolved then?

I think they're still ongoing, but they said they're confident they'll be able to put it in as an extra at a later date.

Theres supposed to be a couple of extra tracks available soon. Rumours are that its the old banked Monza track (which you can drive part of backwards in the current Monza track - just turn left after the parabolica) and a fictional track.

Thanking you Play.com - mines now been posted. Can't wait to have a blast round some of the other tracks in a Lambo.

Amusingly, reloaded TOCA Race Driver 2 last night after playing the demo of GTR for some time ..... comedy handling, it made me realise (not that I didn't already) how BLOODY GOOD GTR IS!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly, I spun my car a nice ice/mud combo on Friday night, so my motor is needing a bit of a fix This means that I'll just have to concentrate on GTR instead of getting GT4 too (I WANT to go for a drive on the Nurburgring!)

you can drive the Nordschleife in GTR as well

Its a track conversion from F1 Challenge. If you download GTR-Manager its available from within that.
