Anyone know what engine it's using?

Creation engine 2
Ah good a new engine, about time
Jon
They've come quite far from Skyrim!
I'm not going to spoil it and stopped at 6mins in. That's enough to give me a solid yes.
One thing that struck me in the character animation, the mouths actually reflect the words that they are speaking. Usually it's close to the movement whilst also being out of time, or just up and down mouth movement at the correct time.
First time I've seen in a game where the audio matches the mouth movement so well it could possibly be lip read.
Someone has leaked performance figures and gameplay videos:
https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingLeaks...formance_leak/
The Reddit post has links to gameplay. No FSR3 in the game.Leaker 1: Reviewer
Just chatted to someone who is on PC, news on performance.
PC Settings Menu: https://files.catbox.moe/lxyhyt.jpeg
Leaker reports they are running 3800x/2080ti @ 1440p on the above high settings.
He gets 45-60 fps most of the time, 60-70 fps in dungeons and space.
He says:
Performance
performance is smooth tho imo, haven't touched settigns too much. no stutters as well.
game is pretty good, goty nominee for sure
also the tile thing is correct but it's not a big deal, people blowing it out of proportion
btw people are freaking out about the render slider but it's like that because of dynamic res. image quality is great
also FSR3 isn't in the game, and the image quality with on looks good
General Thoughts on Game
Also note that this leaker is the only one I have encountered that had access to the game since review codes went out, so he probably has 30-40+ hours in the game. He says he hasnt played oblivion/morrowind, but the game is deeper than fallout 4/skyrim in rpg mechanics, and is easily a 9.5 or a 10. So good news for the starfield hypers out there.
nah i'd be surprised if it's not in the high 80s or 90s. bethesda cooked with this one
space part is great, but again i think expectations were though the roof. if you liked what you saw in the direct and enjoyed past bethesda games idk why you'd be worried.
subreddit has been overhyping on some areas. the majority will be very happy imo, it's a great game. the sheer number of options and freedom to create your own path is fantastic
Welp, I guess then I am not hitting 60 fps 1440p with my 12100f/6700XT?
Also gonna upload extensive combat footage tomorrow

Sounds OK. I don't feel the need for a day 1 purchase though, same as with BG3, I'm sure it'll only improve a few patches in.
Reviews thread on reddit, seems like it's a good 'un!
uses chat Gpt to give a pros/cons of each review which I like.

Its not a day 1 purchase for me as I am already in the middle of many other games but certainly one I will be getting once the initial excitement drops of (as well as prices!)
Jon
My eldest has an xbox pass which I gather includes the basic game, so will be interested to see what it looks like on his console. I've not had a good record with Bethesda games in the past, so wasn't going to jump in at full price anyway.
Besides, I'm still finishing Hogwarts: Legacy (minus the flying challenges with the awful broomstick controls, they can go swivel).
Forgot this was on the game pass. Might get a months worth and see how it is
Jon
It is what I am doing just as a test. But either way, might upgrade my dGPU too since AMD is giving Premium Codes from the RX6700XT and above. I have over 2000 hours in Fallout 4,Fallout:New Vegas,Fallout 76 and Skyrim.
So looks like I will be slowly upgrading my system bit by bit!

Nvidia back to its old tricks:
The RX7700XT is not far behind the RTX4070. Apparently Nvidia is creating more narratives because of their Starfield loss.

Well I just purchased a RX 7600 (fingers crossed for the code being included) for £215, not that I even have a PC for it to go in.... 1440P Ultra @ 60fps with a 3400G?

Anyone actually got the game? Seems to have mixed reviews on Steam. What are peoples thoughts?
Jon
It's installed on my games drive.
I even have a fancy new rig upon which to play it... however, I couldn't stretch to an SSD/M.2 and it runs like ass off an HDD, so I haven't been able to play more than a couple of minutes.
However, a friend says he spent about 7 hours just exploring the first location alone, which for his ADHD mentality is seriously good.
