    damn creepy.

a good game though. Love that gun that pins people to the walls if their close.

The bit where it opens out i used that, 1 shot to the head of a guy and he stuck to the wall, went for a closer look........ right in the forrid

Plays well too on my rig, just where is the damn 1280x1024 option? theres no excuse for a modern game. At least bf2 had a work around.

    WTF???

    Thats kind of stupid.

But they do have a relatively short list of stuff to fix in the next couple of months.

    Anyway.

To change the res to anything YOU want.

    Goto: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Monolith Productions\FEARSPDemo (where 'C' is your root)

    Open the settings.cfg in notepad.

    Chnage the height and width.

And roberts your sisters mothers husbands brother.

Yup yup I did that for myself, since it doesn't support widescreen resolutions, and they said to GameSpy that they won't support it :@ How dumb is that when even the FOV looks proper when you hack the resolution?! LITTLE EFFORT REQUIRED lol! *i assume*

Oh really? Well Doom 3 had me swearing loudly in shock, and I found it scary as hell just getting to the end of the first level.

Rofl same here, although not on the first level!

Np with the link, I managed to download that in something like half an hour I think. Not sure though, never timed it

I don't reckon its THAT scary myself, but its very cool scary if you know what I mean... the whole game is like sweet sweet eye candy, and the bumpmapped decals are ultra cool! And the graphics mode when you enter slo mo is really good too, the edges are enhanced and everything...

    Gonna buy this

    Gimme the heebie jeebies.

    Played great.

Gimme a shock when I saw HER as I went down the ladder. The wine helped though

    Still glad I pre-ordered

    OH MAN!

this game is genius, only played the demo and i already love it!

it literally raised my body temperature...i felt it go up the instant i went down that ladder

up to that point it felt ALMOST like a bog standard fps...the railgun thing is awesome though

one thing i wasnt sure about was the AI, i havnt plyed it enough to really get a good look at the AI in action but was it just me or did they keep doing the same things?
eg the guy jumping through the window at the start?

i cant comment on graphics, im running it on a ti4200 and 512 2000+ xp....

the load times were fine for me (on bottom graphics) literally less than 4 seconds to load each segment

im gonna get this to play on my new system, its fantastic!

    Pete

When running the game I keep getting this error message:

"A required security module could not be activated"

Do you have any tips as to what might be the problem? The PC has been rebooted since trying to play.

That error seems to come mainly from Virtual CD programs, like alcohol, daemon, anti-blaxx etc...

    Try turning them off.
