Theme Hospital not installing on Windows XP

Hi, I suddenly had an urge to play the classic theme hospital which I havn't played in years but whether I install it off a CD or a download, I get the same error message:

Theme hospital requires Windows 95 or Windows NT or higher

but I am already running Windows XP. I know this is an old game but sometimes it's nice to be able to play the oldies! Any ideas appriciated. Cheers.

    Try dosbox - http://dosbox.sourgeforge.net

That works for me for a variety of older games

    http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/comp_l...D=663&letter=T

Works fine - some issues with sound apparently, but there always was with this game really

    I've got Dungeon Keeper

I'd watch out playing Theme Hospital on XP/high spec PC however. I did it before and you'll find on the later levels you will be absolutely inundated with patients due to some backward coding that's reliant on PC performance .

Talking about reviving old classics, I was thinking about installing Total Annihilation the other day, hmm.

Blade Runner is *almost* perfect - however, the shooting range doesn't work (it doesn't start), and at one point you are unable to run away from a bomb, as it explodes faster than you can run away.

The shooting range didn't start on my Windows 98 P2 400 machine Wait about 4 to 10 minutes and it will start, then every succesive time you enter, it starts immediately. Never had the bomb problem, although it was annoying trying to find that perfect spot in the street you had to run to
