I got rid of some of the choppyiness by increasing the heapsize in game.

I have 2GB of ram so i set the heapsize to half that amount, details as follows.

    Run STEAM
    My Games
RMB on "Hidden: source beta 4"
    select "properties"
    select "set launch options"
and type the heapsize you want into there.
    i.e. -heapsize 1024000
This helps in all source based games, HL2, CSsource, Vampire bloodlines e.t.c.

Lowe yeah its true, once I was just sitting there watching and someone spotted me, woops!

My weapon of choice now is the shotgun, even managed to outwit Hidden at one point by pretending I didnt see him, just to shoot him when he was really close

Im finding map changes a bit of a struggle though, three quarters of the time Ill get chucked off the server for an irregular or missing map.

Glad to see this getting another release, have played it on and off for a few months. Love the atmosphere it makes, and the panic fire when a new player comes on and starts shooting everything.

I hope they've added a few more maps too, they're perfectly designed and really spooky at times, jsut get a bit repetitive after a few hours playing
