Online play is great, especially when u have a few mates 2 play with

I've got red Alert 2 (without Yuri's revenge) and atm its my fav game... whats Generals like compared to it? Do the Allies still only get 1 type of aircraft, or do they get more now? What about China / Terrorists, do they get aircraft?

I havn't played RA 2, but Generals is a very good game (apart from the bugs, as Agent mentioned)

America have a load of air units, that's their best ability IMO. China get migs, but since patch 1.6 they have gone up in price used to be a superb unit for the price, they're still good tho. GLA (or terrorists ) don't get any air units, but their units are dirt cheap and they have some really nasty abilities!

I play as China mainly cos of their good base defense and Overlord tanks, which can take on a base with very little support. They are so powerful with all the upgrades, lol.

Any chance you could give us a list of them?

In Red Alert 2, you only got 'Harrier Jump Jets' (though if you where South Korean you got a special kind of 'Harrier' instead called a 'Black Eagle') and you couldn't do air combat at all - all the 'Harriers' could do was take off vertically from their platform, they then dropped a bomb on their intended target and automatically returned to base. They couldn't shoot down opponents harriers, but they could be shot down (very easily, just 2 patriot missiles did the trick or 3 on a 'Black Eagle').

So, is it still just ground attack or can you dogfight? []

you can dogfight, i play USA for the aircraft.

no sea units tho.. unless theres gonna be some in Zero Hour

RA2 was a good game, tho the yuri's revenge add-on didnt really add much, just made it easy to beat both original sides.

I play USA too, the aircraft are deadly if used right. Sea units would be a little stupid imo, at least on the current maps

yeah, if they were to make naval units they would have to make new maps. the current ones dont have much water... if any, lol

Personally I think the game sucks!

The series peaked with Tiberium sun, and has been spiralling downwards ever since.

Theres actually quite afew water maps.. one that stands out is the 4 player island map, but some of the larger maps do have available water.. but yeah.. probley be best to get some new maps if they add water units.

I agree, it was the worst game out of the whole series.

Water units would add some interesting things, but they never really worked in previous versions, too limited
