Has anyone ever thrown something at a CRT?

I had a charming friend who was a little angry, she threw a creative labs soundblaster live platinum remote control (the ones for the 24bit sound card) at my 22" CRT

Didn't so much as scratch the CRT. That said IIyama do make good crts!

I don't think that's a CRT in the picture. It looks like a rear projector of some description to me.

Maybe it's an illusion caused by the powerful game engine and graphics? Maybe there is no crack! Maybe he just needs to reset his console or maybe go to game cheat.com or whatever!

Or maybe he just looked at his tv

Well CRTs have to be strong, if it breaks you've got a big vaccum there thats going to get filled very quickly, shattering the entire tube and sending lots of glass flying about.

This guy needs a bit of a slap IMO.

granted its a rear projection, but i was just trying to point out how bloody tought the iiyama crt was. Granted i supose CRTs have to be tougher than the glass on a rear projection, but id of thought it was still really rather strong, and would mearly scratch not crack.
