First person view, it's *very* close to the old E3 target render, third person mode need a bit more work, but there have been at least two new builds since the demo was released..

It's an absolute hoot gameplay wise too

The Japanese release will get online multiplayer at a later date via a patch btw

It looks like loads of fun! If there's one thing the 360 is lacking at the mo it's decent racing games. I love PGR3, but I had that on launch and there hasn't been a racing game as good as it ever since (in my opinion).

Looking forward to having a whirl on Motorstorm and GTHD, racing games have always been my favourite genre.

Nice one Stoo. Nice to have a hardcore early adopter hanging around the place, to chip in to these sorts of debates.

Parm - Burnout Revenge my son. On live its sooo good. Fast, deep gameplay (boot starts, boots jumping, short cuts, etc), and all the rankings and everything. Leaves Gotham for dead.

Is it that good? I only ever tried the demo of it and although I thought it looked great and was a lot of fun, I didn't think it was worth buying as the novelty may ware off quickly.

Mind you, it's not really my kinda racing game. I love the feeling when you do the perfect corner, or you're in somebodys slipstream perfectly and rocket past them as soon as they lift off the gas. There's something about racing games, they just give you a buzz like no other game can. Myself and a few friends had PGR3 on launch and boy did we have some amazing races. Spent months on that game and I completely loved it. Dropping down into second, letting the back end slide out as you slide around a hairpin, foot down on the gas and vrooom. Awesome.

Cause of the kinda racing game I like I think Motorstorm might not be for me either, the novelty on that one may ware off too. I'd have to try it to be sure mind you. I'm really looking forward to Forza Motorsport 2 and the next Colin Mcrae looks quite interesting too.

If you like your driving games closer to sim than arcade then maybe its not for you, but Burnout Revenge is great single player and the best multiplayer game on the system. Not counting Gears of War which I haven't played.

Yup, similar vein, Motorstorm has *great* pick up and play value, and that's just the demo, the full game will be even more engaging if the demo is anything to go by.

The most disappointing game so far for me is Ridge Racer 7, it's simply not as much fun as Motorstorm, and you end up feeling oddly detached from it, which is not what you need in a game.

Thats what Ridge Racer has sadly become though, an average driver, not the best looking, not the best playing, just average. Has been for ages really. Last time I really enjoyed it was Ridge Racer on the PS1.
