what to give up

so Lent is coming up and i was wondering what people are planning to give up if at all?

chocolate is a popular 1 but i dont really eat it so that would be useless, looking for suggestions

Well if you're really going to get in to the spirit of it, you should give up something you REALLY enjoy...

Obviously, breathing isn't much of a goer... the same goes for drinking fluids and eating enough so you don't die...

But really it's about abstaining as an act of rememberance of Jesus' forty days and nights in the wilderness.

So give up something that you really like if you really want to make a statement.

I never really have anything too naughty anyway. And I refuse to give up my booze, only just been able to drink again after antibiotics. Yes, i have been sober for over a week.

I suppose as of today I will make sure I have at least 2 pieces of fruit at work (instead of crisps or chocolit).

I might give up standing on the escalators because its lazy, I think as of tomorrow I'll walk up and down them instead! (that's 6 a day... and the one at London bridge in the morning is a bit of a monster)

I'm not allowed to drink for another 11 months! I haven't had a drop to drink since I think December the 1st, and Christmas Eve was my 21st and I wasn't allowed a drop.
