    The spiders 'Itsy & Bitsy'

This will probably only make sense to people around my age (late thirties).

There was a lunchtime TV programme for kids in the late 70's / early 80's that featured two spiders called Itsty and Bitsy. One was a girl spider, one a boy spider. Each was basically a coloured fluffy glove. They'd help (girl spider) and hinder (boy spider) a woman who was trying to make stuff out of paper and loo roll. When asked what they ate, the girl spider would reply in a high pitch voice "sweeties", the boy spider in a low gruff voice "flies".

It was a masterpiece, but I just can't find video of it anywhere. I even tried the TV archive at the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television in Bradford to no avail.

Anyone know where there's any video of them? The missus is 5 years younger than me and never saw them and she's starting to think I'm barking when I try to explain what they were.

I remember them, around the time of that other mentalist program "A handful of songs".

Fantastic. That's the one! I used to be glued to that (pardon the pun) as a kid. First time I've seen it in 30-odd years. Thanks very much!
