Time for a new broadband provider.

On Bulldog 8Meg and free local calls £26 a month.

Fed up of disconnections with Bulldog and want to find an 8Meg + package with free local calls in London.... any good recommendations?

    unlimited downloads needed

I changed from Tiscali to BT and am pretty happy with it. At the min I am only connected at 1.7 megs and it does seem to be dropping out quite often (weather has been bad and I live virtually in the middle of nowhere), but there is a problem at my exchange at the min which should be fixed shortly.

As for package prices I'm not overly sure, my wife deals with the bills!

I used to recommend Pipex but the last year or so has put a stop to that! They probably achieved one of the fastest decents in quality and customer service of any ISP.

My Demon Internet line is excellent, haven't had chance to test tech support because its not even gone down once yet and I use it most nights and work from on occasion.

Edit: I've had it 14 months now.

Shouldn't you add on BT line rental of £11 or there abouts?

even worse now as their email service has been hacked and hundreds maybe thousands of members are getting spam from stolen accounts.
