1&1 are sooo good at this moment in time my website doesnt exist..

and i wont get so much as a sorry when it comes back... if it does without the usual phone calls after the emails get ignored, or as per usual i just get patronised by some dick who doesnt know the job he is being paid to do.

    /rant over

( i would have moved to streamline but 1&1 dont allow SSL to the database for me to make a backup, another very bad point to them)

    I use http://www.frihost.com/ because they're .. well, free.

They give you 250mb free and some cool tools, email, mysql etc.

The only cost is that you have to participate in their forum which, as you would imagine, is chock full of people making pointless post-count posts, but it's not too difficult to find a thread that can hold your interest and they're .. well, free.

Support is usually from the forums and is, therefore, very fast.

    Frihost free web hosting features

    • 250 Mb of space for your entire collection of websites.
    • 10 GB of traffic each and every month.
    • 1 short free subdomain to be reachable in the whole world (you.frih.net).
    • Php and Perl scripting languages to fulfill all your programming needs.
    • The DirectAdmin control panel to manage your web hosting account.
    • No forced advertisements. Your own ads like google adsense are allowed.
    • Unlimited MySQL databases for all your data.
    • Unlimited subdomains and ftp accounts of all your domains.
    • Unlimited email accounts for your correspondence.
    • Unlimited parked and addon domains for your whole portfolio of websites.
    • Great community forums of around 500,000 posts and over 20,000 members to get support from.

! We only provide free php hosting to all active members of our forums. You need at least 5 quality posts before requesting a completely free web hosting account. Being active on our forums afterwards is also required in order to keep your hosting account.
