I fill my pants at the thought of being a dad. Best laxative I've ever known.
Congratulations. don't worry. It's nothing worth worrying over. Giving birth is a piece of cake (for men) and you can live without sleep for quite a long time.
And when your daughter (if you are lucky) is 18 you will sit in a pub with her discussing whatever you have in common and think yourself the luckiest man in the world.

I loved every minute of it. Except for the lack of sleep and the postpartum illness where the doctor said "Try not to get too attached to her", and the first time she brought home a boyfriend and it was the illiterate thug from the dive shack.

I just remembered my boss's advice when I told him I had just had a daughter. He was German, living in Bahrain:
"A daughter. Excellent. She will grow to love her daddy more and more. Daddy will be the most important person in the world, and you will grow to love her more and more each day. The bond between you will seem unbreakable.
Then, one day, she will come home on the back of a motorcycle driven by a drug-peddling murderer."
That's what happened to him, and it's why he was in Bahrain; with his daughter.

Our first wasn't planned, and turned our lives on their heads.....I can't imagine a greater change of circumstances than the one affected by our unexpected impending parenthood, but there's not a single thing I would change.
It's trying, hard work, draining, exhausting, and at times immensly difficult, but as long as you remember that it's all for your child, you'll get through it no bother.
It's an incredible experience, I can literally say there's nothing like it. Be prepared to love something more than you'd ever have believed possible.
