...do they bother you?
Would you go out of your way to annoy one?
Yeah if they go to slow!
Yeah anytime!
No!
...do they bother you?
Would you go out of your way to annoy one?
Absolutely not!
Everyone was a learner at some point - would you have liked being hassled by some impatient twit when you were having lessons? Or even worse, if you were on a test...
5 minutes of your impatience could cost someone a *lot* of money.

I *hate* this behaviour so much: not only do you scare them out of their wits but you're maximising your own chances of being in a crash.
For some (idiot) people an L-plate is just a set of crosshairs on the car in front.

if i see driver learners on the road i always stay away, i dont fancy ramming them if they stop suddenly

Passed my test 12 years ago now and I still remember the horror of learning to drive
Everyone has to start somewhere so I can't see why people get angry at learners.
Living and dying laughing and crying
Once you have seen it you will never be the same
Life in the fast lane is just how it seems
Hard and it is heavy dirty and mean
Absolutely, leave them alone, it's hard enough as it is.
I feel a lot of sympathy for learner drivers (I remember thinking I'll never remember all this!) My annoyances on the road tend more to be towards cyclists but I would never do anything deliberately to annoy/endanger them.
Never. We all had to learn at some point, and i daresay we've all had morons sit on our arses because they're annoyed at being stuck behind you. Good way to cause an accident.
I suffered a very bad motorcycle rat 14 yrs ago thanks to an idiot drink driver and it took me until 3 yrs ago to pluck up the courage to take my test.
My instructor was the bees knees, calm, patient and taught me not everyone on the road is going to slam into me busting me up.
He got the biggest bottle of scotch when i passed first time.
During one lesson, there was a typical builders flatbed, sat on my rear end down a particular road in york where people use it as a race track. They beeped, they hung out the windows and generally wound up me and my instructor - right up till the point my instructor said "beware" and slammed the brakes on. Pair of us leaped out and legged it to the truck, where the driver and his two mates looked shocked at two largish blokes climbing out this learner car. Next thign the driver had banged it in reverse and shot off up the road.
Now this is bad, because if they hadn't of legged it there was going to be serious trouble, but at the time we laughed our socks off.
Moral of this story - don't wind up learners, you never know what psycho is going to leap out and batter you senseless.
So now when i'm behind a learner driver, i give them space, don't tailgate and let them learn in peace.

Everyone was a learner at some point as already mentioned.
I recently passed my test and when I see learners about I make sure to keep my distance, don't want them rolling back into me in traffic etc.. Main thing is to give them room and try not to rush them.. as many feel the pressure and then thats when mistakes are made.
