No, it's got nothing to do with anyone else bringing it up.

Look at what I said ... "So far as I'm concerned, it's history and stays that way".

So far as I'm concerned, you or anybody else can raise the issue if you like, in the way anybody can raise a dispute over a ban ..... take it to the Admins or to David. But, by and large, the reason David has Admins is to deal with issues like this. If he wanted to do it himself, he wouldn't have a bunch of Admins. But feel free to try.

The Mod and Admin team have been pointed at this issue, and I'll leave it to them to deal with, without further comment from me, publicly or privately.

Nah, its alright Sara, I mentioned it as a joke. I really don't care about the ins and outs of what happened.

Should say this though; You are older than me, much more mature, and I know you are an honest man. Mainly because ages ago I flogged you a PSU, which during a phone conversation I agreed to send to you on the same day you posted the cheque, for reasons I forget - you needed it quick or whatever, and the cheque arrived the day after.

So I'm sure you wouldn't be happy if you thought it was a bit of dodgy move by the cahooting Admins to ban for life the other kid, while David petitioned the Pope, recommending you for Sainthood, with a request that your feast day be the 14th of August, when its 'really nice like'.

But, I remember clearly at the time, pretty much everyone who was around when this happened, outside of the Admin team, was of the opinion that is was a very dodgy, and bias bit of Admining. Actually, I remember several (pretty sure at least 2) members said they were leaving the forums, entirely dsgusted at what happened and how it was resolved.

Point being, that while I'm sure you are happy it was all done fair and square, I doubt many people outside the Admin team at the time, also thinks so. Most of the members, even those who didn't go as far as to feel they had to leave in protest, were pretty pissed off with the whole thing.

But, water under the bridge and all that.

I'll want ten good reasons for why you should start a campaign. If they're funny enough I'll talk it through with the admin's that I'm in cahoots with and then we'll see.

But I WAS one of the Admins who firmly agreed with poor old....../delete name, being banned, when poor old Saracen and he crossed swords, and then it got personal. Nowt to do with cpu's by the end of it. And as with many a thing, unless you know what went on behind closed doors, you can't judge it.

However....I know we did right, and not cos Sara and I were in cahoots with other admins.

However, the chap in question was really very highly rated by many forum members, including I think Saracen, until that episode.
Matty, I'm sure the birth of your lovely nipper hasn't clouded your mind, to the extent that you've forgotten I've been on the Mod Team, was for a couple of years, and as such, am entirely aware of what would happen were I to be arsed to bring it to the attention of Dave, or (heaven forbid) Matt D. i wont forget you modding, cos it was goodtimes, by and large chap. ALso you happen to have won a modding competition, which we held, and which all mods thought you did stirling work on

I really don't care, but if I did, I'd still not bother.

Anyway, I've got a touch of mild sunburn, and was outsmarted by 3 stinging nettles earlier, so a nice bit of nettle rash to go with it. So I'll go and slap soothing balms and lotions all over myself instead.i wish i'd got sunburn..... i'm only really awake at night, when my nipper screams...a lot

Hope you've found time to enjoy the sun. it was hot on the M1 today......and the M25....so that was nice

EDIT - I'm now getting people on MSN asking me what happened and that btw. So at least the memory of poor old whathisface will never die.

Matt D can delete one of my posts at 50 paces, before I've finished writing it. It's a new VBB hack...

It got bigger than either of you could handle. Like a crocodile, that grew into a much larger crocodile, that neither of you could handle.
Crocodiles are fine, as are alligators and gavials. Stingrays are our nemesis.

    Welcome back Saracen
