    Brasseye

Haven't watched it for ages - Just come across it and thought i'd watch a few mins.

    An hour later.....
    Im almost in tears

Kids burst shops by filling them with rice, and pouring in water: then standing back and laughing, while the bricks are ripped apart by the swelling food.
Can you imagine the fear of knowing that there's a gay man on board? You'd be thinking, "My God. Will I wake up and find everybody dead?"
Chris Morris: The Singapore solution : A paedophile has an implant the size of a cashew nut in his rectum. These devices are triggered by the sound of children's voices. "It" hears those voices . It expands to the size of a 42 inch colour television set. Bang! They fall to the ground shrieking and the children are safe
Ted Maul: An eruption of anger. The smell of burnt hair in the air. Just minutes ago the prison authorities tried to sneak North out of the back here. It didn't work. Crowds set upon the transporter, one man ended up plaited around the axel, they ripped North out of the back and at that point we became ominously aware of a 25 foot wicker phallus. Seconds later North was ablaze. Sheets of flame dancing to the beat of primitive animal justice. One man kebabbed, hundreds scarred by a shared blood ritual. And yet, an astonishing sense of community here now, a positive atmosphere, a sense of a job well done, a shared sigh of relief very much like the bizarre euphoria at the end of an hours vomiting.
The orgery of slywinking usery was only bought to an end by a stair well nonse bashing that left him quadra spazed on a life glug.
    Brilliant. Just brilliant.

So many quotes I cant post. Just google them

Chris Morris is just a legend, full stop. Can't actually think of a bad show he has been a part of.

He's rumoured to be writing a new show at the moment about suicide bombers..can't wait for it

Didn't he write IT Crowd? I thought that was pretty weak, although compared to Brass Eye most things are.

I actually prefered The Day Today as it was the "original" but Brasseye is brilliant. I love all the subtle comedy that doesnt really get picked up on. Like on one link when they pass back to Chris and he is holding an MP5 and just places it onto the desk....

Got em all on DVD and they are still worth picking out as they never get old!

Any idea when that'll be broadcast? Best info I can find is "coming soon" & "after the summer season", which is an improvement on "sometime this year". Just recording the rerun of the first series atm. Loved it. I was kinda hoping the second would be shown when the rerun finishes.

    I'm talking Nonce Sense.

Edit: the one good present that my youngest brother has ever given me was the Brass Eye DVD. Even so some of it is a bit fist-in-mouth embarrasing for my taste.

However, about the funniest thing ever was the sketch on Jam on Radio 1 in ~late 1997, about the guy who took his car for a service and got in back a quarter of its original size.

Here it is although the sound is NSFW and it's funnier if you shut your eyes and just listen to the sound. The original had two further "NODDY!"s added in to the ambient music at the end which made it funnier still.
