I think thats harsh considering millions in this country are in debt. Credit card companies offer far too much money to people, and some people see it as free money so they whack everything on them to the limits. Once that one is at the limit they work on the second and third one.
Now ill admit I have credit card debt which is under control, but calling people a retard for getting into credit card debt is a bit ignorant.
£811/month interest-only on our current fixed-rate. It'll be about £1,050/month if we remortgage at current rates
Is that not a debt

OK, let's restate Kumagoro's message:
"You only get into unservicable debt if you are a tard" **
Is that OK for you now, pedants?
** or, perhaps, if you get hit by a series of particularly crippling financial difficulties, and are not adequately insured, I suppose.
p.s. redlight, your quoting skills are weak.

Hahaha exactly. I didnt think it needed to be spelled out....
There isn't much of a difference anymore with these types of cards. Once upon a time there was.
Just go with egg.
I did have a Barclaycard gold C/C - it had the lowest credit limit out of all the cards I've used recently (approx half the limit of all the other cards I've used or got recently) so having a gold card is a bit pointless really IMO
Sorry but people that have got them selves into credit card debt through overspending/not living within their means are nothing but a "tard"in allot of peoples eye. Banks do not hold a gun against your head forcing you to spend more than you earn. Its time these type of people start taking responsibilities for their actions - rather than blaming easy credit
Although nowdays it doesn't matter - get yourself in unbearable amounts of debt - you can just bankrupt yourself easily - and start again a few years later
Yes in the bit that says "some people see it as free money", the phrase 'some people' can correctly be substituted with 'tards'

I prefer credit cards for internet purchases - you get guaranteed protection with credit cards.
Fair enough,
All I know is myself and my gf both have credit cards. One of mine is a hefty lump (2 knee operations for my dog cost £1100), and my girlfriend couldnt get funding for her final year PGCE so had to use credit cards to live on.
We are by no means retards, its circumstantial. We dont have rich parents to bail us out and its all under control.
