    Stop The Rot Hamilton...

So far in the last sporting few days: England have lost to Russia, after being 1 up with a pen to the Ruskies awarded for a challenge miles outside the box, Everton lost to Liverpool mostly down to a ref who must be buming one of their players, and we've lost the world cup final in the Rugby. Not good.

If Lewis doesn't win the F1 title later I will officially be in a bad mood.

If Kimi wins it for Ferrari, I will not be responsible for my actions.

Oh no, if this happens Kimi'll be dancing around, cheering, waving his arms about and smiling like a loon...

    Or maybe he'll just scowl.

I'm a kimi fan, so I want him to win

tbh, hamilton has done well regardless of what happense this evening though!

If we're looking for 'British' folks to cheer on today, keep an eye out on the final round of the FIA GT Championship aswell, Ryan Sharp is in with a chance of winning it in his debut season in Sportscars!

I want Felipe to win, he deserves it after all the crap he's taken from Ferrari this season (running out of fuel during qualifying, being called in for a pitstop so that Kimi can get past, yet he remains cheerful and positive unlike a certain other driver). Lewis to come 2nd and clinch the WDC, leaving Alonso to slink off to Renault.

    Re: Stop The Rot Hamilton...

Nah, Massa has a Ferrari under him and is completely out of the running; no excuse.

    Mclaren 1-2 will do nicely.

Ferrari have the Constructors championship they were given... er 'won' anyway.

    And if Alonso wins?

I'm throwing my money away by betting Ferrari 1-2 (Massa, then Raikkonen) and McLaren 2 x DNFs . . .

Hamilton will win (the title), all he needs to do is really hang back a bit from the ruckus after a few laps, and hope Nakajima doesn't follow in his fathers footsteps and wipe him out.

    Re: Stop The Rot Hamilton...

You want to know why Massa is still so chearfull? Because he wants his team mate to win... he is willing to help Kimi win if it means he comes second or third which I admire about him.

When they interviewed both the Ferrari drivers and asked them who they would like to see win the championship they both nominated each other.

I think at Ferrari they didn't have a number 1 or 2 driver just whichever driver was doing better at the time would be favoured to help them win. Massa had some good races and won and Ferrari never asked him to slow so that Kimi could win.

Ferrari have much better management and team dynamics(besides the drivers) and thats why I prefer them to Mclaren any day.

For todays race I think Hamilton will take the championship, its an outside chance for Kimi to win(even if Ferrari get a 1-2 hamilton only needs 3rd to win) and Alonso is a DICK so there is no chance he will get it.

I hope that Ferrari get a 1-2 and whether Hamilton wins or not its an absolutely amazing rooky season for him... WELL DONE LAD!

He didn't run out of fuel, the team forgot to put it in. He was stopped before he entered the track so they could pull him back (obviously you're not allowed to reverse in the pits!). He had ample opportunity to qualify on his previous lap, and he still had his 2nd lap which he managed to get in well in time. His team didn't help, but it was he who cocked it up.

This sums up a lot of the feeling for Hamilton. You either love him or hate him

Wasting little time to put her point of view across on the eve of what could be Hamilton's maiden championship, Giuntini suggested that the British driver had not been fair in his dealings with the Ferrari driver.

"For everybody, it is evident that twice you disturbed Kimi. Is everything good to become a world champion?" she asked.

Hamilton responded: "To be honest there is no reason for me to do anything to Kimi because if anything he can win..."

"You never showed him clearly that you could give him the track free?" Giuntini continued, as the two locked in a heated exchange.

"What do you want me to do? Put the indicator on?" Hamilton replied.

    "You know exactly..." She said.

"I did the best job I could to get out of the way," Hamilton insisted. "And I did apologise to him if I did get in his way."

"Is that what you call the best job?" Giuntini continued.

    "Yes," Hamilton responded.

    Giuntini: "As a sportsman?"

Hamilton: "Yes. How are you at your job? Are you the best at your job? You never made mistakes....no?"

    Giuntini: "Sometimes..."

    Hamilton: "Oh, really..."

Other journalists managed to stir the press conference on to other topics, until one made the mistake of mentioning Giuntini's run-in with Hamilton, labelling it a "ridiculous exchange". The Frenchwoman saw this as her cue to pick up where she earlier left off.

"Let us continue the ridiculous exchange," she turned to Hamilton. "Do you think you can do everything you want and then you just apologise - is that the way it works in Formula One?"

"I'm not going to answer that," Hamilton finally snapped. "I just don't want to talk to you, to be honest."

Err, exactly, Ferrari's engineers screwed up royally in Hungary. And this was somehow Massa's fault??

    Re: Stop The Rot Hamilton...

You made it sound like he spluttered to a halt. He didn't. They pulled the car back, put more fuel in, he went out (for the 3rd time) and still failed to qualify. 2 attempts and he still couldn't get a top 4 car into the top 10. I don't know about you but I call that a failure.

Yeah, Massa has done well - but Kimi is a fundementally quicker driver IMO.

Here we go, less than 60mins to go...!

The british sporting 'rot' has already been stopped today, Ryan Sharp won in Zolder today and jumped into 2nd in the championship in his rookie season, yay

Bloody hell, he's so up himself... Hamilton on RTL: "I deserve the title, I've been better and worked harder than everyone else."

/me screams a little bit inside. I wish Kimi could win it just so we don't have to hear Alonso's and Hamilton's arrogance for the next few months.

Hamilton has been the most consistent, I wouldn't say he's worked any harder than anyone else but he's done very well and if he win's he fully deserves it.
