    Re: The 100 Greatest Albums

Oasis - Whats the Story Morning Glory is the best album ever, not the 15th as that poll laughalbly claims.

To this day the only album ever that I can just play from start to finish and enjoy every song.

    Its a choon fest.

Top 3 for me, certainly. I like Radiohead, but I wouldn't say OK Computer was the best album ever. It's pretty damn good mind. That accolade would go to R.E.M. for Automatic for the People, though Out of Time should be up there too.

    Re: The 100 Greatest Albums

Another vote for Counting Crows, but all in all I'd say that was a pretty cracking list. Makes me realise how few I've actually got in my collection....only four in the top ten....only 20 out of the whole list!!??

Hold on, just seen Robbie Williams at 91? I'm guessing that's the album with 'Angels' on it?

    Re: The 100 Greatest Albums

I find these polls a waste of time
results are too dependant on your sex, race, age group etc

music effects poeple the most at the time it was created
music genres have become mainstream with time
these pools might give you inspiration to listen to an album you would not normally listen to

there are two types of music
what you have heard and what you havent

    Re: The 100 Greatest Albums

Glad Kurt made top 3 Best album ever made for playing 1st Person Shooters too. Winds up the thought process and speeds me up.

Floyd tho......I wish people would stop doing this. They are not that good. Not when Zep and Aerosmith, AC/DC and Maiden walk the planet.

Also suprised Michael Jakson's Of the Wall made it, and not Thriller, which is a seriously good album.

    Loaf made it in. Result

    Re: The 100 Greatest Albums

I fail to see why Outkast are at 69 with Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, they and other hiphop artists have released better albums in my opinion.

The trouble with polls like this are that they're too subjective so sadly you're never going to get a definitive top 100.

    Re: The 100 Greatest Albums

Alot of the music on there is not my taste, and haven't heard alot of it..

I think that the streets best album was 100% original pirate material.

Its good to see that Eminem album on the list, although its the most controversial album he has ever made its lyrical genius.

Tbh Im surprised there was no tupac on their, and think that no top 100 music is right without Illlmatic by nas.

The White Stripes: Elephant should be higher!

I like the The White Album - Beatles better than Sgt Peppers and Revolver. Nice list though!
