Nope, but nor does the Eurofighter until later - it's a potential future upgrade.

    Re: Top Gear Reminder

The small car was fantastic, although I can see Top Gear getting more complaints about the exhaust fumes they let off inside a building!
The old series (and I think current will be soon) are on Dave (freeview 19) so you can catch up if you ever miss any

yeah and this is to fit the advert breaks into the show as there seem to be a few of these.

Anyway it's not cutting too much out. if you want them advert free then fingers crossed they'll all be on the BBC iplayer once this goes public.

If only you can still buy the "sport" version of that tiny car! imagine jumping from 4.5 horsepower to 6 horsepower!

odds of it getting funded, along with other potential upgrades such as the new radar etc...

with defence spending as it is Id say the odds are quite poor...

I don't know, I'd have thought the MoD would leap at the chance to introduce something that will probably cause technical problems later

    Re: Top Gear Reminder

I remember the development aircraft running RB199s and seeing a picture of the eurofighter with some strange looking devices aft of the nozzle which looked like they might be something to do with thrust vectoring. More infohere.

I also remember playing EF2000 which came out in 1995! I was using a Gateway P90, 8mb ram, 730mb hard drive and quad speed cd-rom machine (which was my dads and cost @£1800).

One night during the summer of 1996 a friend and I partook in some chemical substance abuse and after a great night down the pub and the fair decided we would have a go on EF2000. We had to do this mission to blow up a dam but kept on failing. Concentrating like mad with eyes like dinner plates we persevered all night. Eventually we succeeded and decided to call it a day only then to realise that it was 10 o'clock the next morning and that my parents had got up, had breakfast and left the house without us realising. And they didn't realise we were up thank god.

    Re: Top Gear Reminder

IIRC the EF Typhoon was designed to have TV from the start, but the systems weren't in place in time for the initial roll-out?

    Re: Top Gear Reminder

Now I remember where I saw it EADS/Boeing X31-A which looks remarkably like EF development aircraft.
