The routine for beating any hangover not at least dented by a cup of tea and a cigarette is as follows -

A second cup of tea, because who knows you might get lucky this time...ideally coupled a mild intake of THC, then generally breakfast in the pub and two to three pints of Guinness to sooth the throat and settle any stomach issues.

Should all of that not beat the demons into submission, repeat the Guinness stage this time adding a single Tia Maria to each pint.

Absolutely the only reason my career stayed on track.

In efferevecent tablets, they have the right salts in them for rehydration and to keep your stomach strong. Sparkly, nice to drink even when you wanna die.

I'm a good boy now, and aint used them for a long time, and not regularly for years, but that blue box of sachets is a godsend

This is what I have which I find cures my hangovers within an hour flat

Take 2 pieces of bread - ignore the appeal of the margarine and coat 1 with "kentucky style burger relish " and the other with HP brown sauce - Not tesco or adsa or any other cheap brand but HP only and then add the following.

2 Sausages cooked and sliced into 1/2 so they stay on the bread better
2 slices of bacon - smoked or maple cured if you've got it, normal bacon if not.
jalepeno chillies.
Cover with cheese - Extra Mature Cheddar, not none of this weak stuff. If it has crystals, it is GOOD and whack under the grill until the cheese has melted.

Add the second piece of bread to the sandwich, press it down and cut into whatever shapes you want.

Now eat, drink a large cup of coffee (medium strength - 2 sugars) and wait 45 minutes for the food to do it's work

Lots and lots of tea for me.

If your stomach isn't too acidic then copious amounts of orange juice can also perform very well.

Plus the aforementioned fry up once your stomach can handle it

Avoid Beers that contains Sulphites, they tend to contribute to nastier mornings after.

A normal cure would be, a few cups of tea, fry up and some orange juice. If that doesn't sort it then a lunch time pint will do the trick!

My ultimate hangover cure however is Oblivion at Alton Towers, works a treat! Cured the worst hangover I have ever had. Problem is it isn't really an everyday cure.

Glass of water and something to eat before I go to sleep

Then another glass of Squash (sugars in it help to stave off the hangover) when I wake up parched at about 5am (or 7am, or 9am, dependent on initial time of going to bed)

then another squash or other sugar laden drink when I next wake up, and some bovril toast.

Bottle of Lucozade, the good old original red type, loud music on the car stereo and an 8 hour drive. I was certainly cured by the time I arrived, but by god it hurt at the start...
