Checked that one out... Bank doesn't have a pool.
Nearest pool to MK is Bedford. Its a bit silly to go with them when I could go with Bannatynes or Virgin who do.

I wish I could have a strictly Rave based regime, but once a month just isn't enough - need to improve my stamina for raving! I've really gotta start building some more strength into my bowling arm too.

    No, no they don't.

For a start off i think FF demand that you know nothing about contract laws if ever you want to cancel, i used to be a member of monument FF, costing me some £45 a month for it, because of its location, it was a platinum. It had no pool, if i wanted to use a pool there was one at london bridge, which hey presto was another £50 a month.

Now i get a free gym, which has staff/trainers that not only know their craft but seam to actually help you, rather than read magazines all day and charge you £1 for use of a manky towel.

When quitting i listed all the reasons i didn't want to be with them any more (they where emotive and made me feal like i was breaking up with them) after saying i get new one free, free stuff like towels/toilertries/trainer. Their offer was to nock £5 off a month. They REALLY didn't want to let me quit, saying i was locked in on a 12 month (LIES) contract etc.

In the end a recorded letter to the company sectatery seamed to do the trick.

    Seriously, FF are scum.

Yeah I've heard some interesting things about getting out of their contracts. I'm paying a lot less than £45 a month though ( not quiet as good as free , but such is life ! )

I got a good deal by paying a year in advance with them (after a good haggle), but they are notorious gits when trying to end a contract.

Nothing wrong with a few wobbly bits.

I use JJB btw and work (some of us do). I only go there because i get some 'el cheapo' t-shirts from them for when im doing work on my house.

The time to avoid these shops is Saturday lunchtimes as they do seem to be 'chav-magnets' at this time of the week.

Sportsworld i use on occassion aswell because they sell Nike trainers alot cheaper than anywhere else.

You could have tried John Lewis, they have a good selection of trainers for most budgets.

Its good to see you actively trying to lose weight, i lost 3 stone last year by not eating, not a good way to lose weight. I'll be joining a gym sometime next year to try and lose weight properly

I joined upto Fitness First Platinum Club, it has everything a clean gym, pool, minxs, suana, did I mention minxs?

I got money off through work too, I think the normal rate at my "club" is £50 a month, very steep but I know another guy who is regsitered with a regular FF and his card still works. Not sure if they'll pick up the trend of him using a regular (cheaper) card in a Platinum club.

I also got free stuff when I joined, nothing major.

Re: Are People that Shop at Low cost Sports Outlets Inherrently Lazy ?

I didn't know there is a season for paintballing.

Gym I belong to is just a local council one, used to be ok, but then they went posh with machines that do little but look good (to those who don't know better) and they squeezed us weight users into a tiny corner. Still, it is cheap, and so am I, so it's not too bad.

Hope you keep at it, seems like the cut is at about 6-8 weeks, many people quit after this.

I'm with you on this one hun, though I kinda need to stop eating cake and chocolate first! Gonna get December out of the way and start dealing with it in January.
I'd lost a fairly decent amount until a few months ago and I've put pretty much all of it on again now. But on the plus side I like the bigger boobs bit, just not the bigger butt bit!

Moby that sucks about not being able to buy trainers, I'd have been right narked off! Hope you manage to get it sorted for your new appointment. Kudos to you for joining the gym - personally I'm allergic to them!
