My sales manager
I think I might actually have a heart attack if he was positive and nice for an entire day, heard a customer asking to pass on their thanks to the manager and member of staff for being so helpful, did he tell them? Is the pope good at football?
me: can I have the keys?
him: yes
me: well can i have them then?
him: no
me: why?
him: I'm waiting for you to ask the right question
me: what, can I have the keys?
(I would normally say please/thank you, but the guy is a complete and utter waste of space, the shop performs 10-20% better when he isnt in on average and really annoys everyone)
Oh...and the thing that annoys me in general is people who can't take no for an answer, e.g.
"can you knock anything off it"
"no, if you find it cheaper in a nearby shop we match/beat it but thats it"
"can you take the admin charge off the credit"
"no, we dont provide the credit"
"can you take the admin charge off the cost of the laptop?"
"no"
I would understand if it was damaged/old stock/genuinely cheaper elsewhere but it wasnt and was a brand new laptop
I got something that annoys me every week.
Dopey Locals. Every time I go out to the shops or a busy area you have these annoying dopey people.
Think that going about your business in the supermarket was going to quick since you know everything you came for? Think again.
The ones that for no apparent reason just stand there in the way.
Then you get the one's that stop at the exit doors so no one can pass.
It really pis**s me off.
Do they think I want to spent my day off just waiting for them to wake up?
Everything that should take minutes takes forever.
Tookj my Mum shopping the other week in Tesco, and the amount of people that think it is ok to block an isle to have a chat and a catch up for about 20 minutes while they're forzens they have yet to pay for think it's fine to do this. I just want to go in there, get what I want and go again. I t took one lot of such people 5 attmepts at asking them to move their ample bottoms out of the way.
I'm annoyed that an ex-girlfriend has moved back into the area and I now see her several times a week. Very, very irritating. Plus she is going to a (business) place right by me with whom I have a long-standing and heart-felt feud. The evil moobag.
Otherwise, cyclists, roadworks and idiot car drivers (the latter will race out in front of you, then do 30-35 in the 40 zone speeding up whenever a rare overtaking opportunity presents itself then - and this always gets my goat - when we hit the 30 limit they speed up to about 35-40 and zoom off. Are they ever nicked? Are they arses.) However, most of these things annoy me each and every week.
Mustn't grumble though.
because the situation you describe sounds like there are "rules from a higher power" being involved, rather than the discretion that may be allowed at a smaller retailer. and as dsg is the only biggie... and i say dsg just to group together those that should be grouped together, as they are the same thing but with a slightly different focus, same bunch of products

Ah
Well it isn't Dixons but similar
It's just annoying as the a-h gets away with it even though people disagree with his behaviour, and it seems to manifest when he is in on his own/when the store manager is busy
aka false sense of power
Mind I'll probs get it on Monday for leaving the shop after work, it's not that I left early (I had to stay 10 minutes to wait for people to finish their sales), I just missed my debrief....ooooh scary
(I will no doubt tell him where to shove it as I'm not leaving work 30 mins later than my shift without getting paid for it, as it happens nearly every shift)

@ Behemoth - The day your friend starts whining for his g/f is a sad sad day. (I hope it wasn't like that, but when you're told something like that it might as well be classed as whining).Personally, I would put it down in my books as you not having to know a tw@ driver =]
This just screams "new generation of kids" at me - they like to all stand in busy walking spots of pretty much anywhere....Grrr
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My mobile fell into a pint of milk. Wasn't amused.

That happened to me the other week, I was 15 mins late finishing my shift because of a customer, as soon as I was done with them I grabbed my coat and my keys and went home. Thought no more about it.
Got to work the next day and was told off for not seeing the store manager before I left (had I done I 'd have been there for at least another half an hour while he talked mindless drival to me) I just let it run over my head these days. Once I find a better paying job, I'm gone.
Same here with the job, just while I'm at uni it's untill I get a placement then I'm leaving, pay is ok (get some performance bonus so not all bad), hours are ok, getting to work can be a pain though (if I wasn't driving tomorrow, to start my shift at 10 I would have to leave at 8 and get either 3 busses (sp?) or a metro and a bus)
