Ahhhh we have the same knife. Although not an IT bod a lot of the kit I look after uses the same fixings, so the cybertool is ideal. The scissors and pliers are also a god send. To complete the package I have a micro torch attached as well, excellent for peering in to the darkest of nooks and grannies, so I meant crannies

Re: Packaging, why is it designed so I can't get into it?

I got a blister packed, games for windows wireless reciever, a few weeks back, it was taunting me all day, i got it at 10:30 in the morning (college day), proceeded to try to open it, by biting etc, failed miserably. gave up, stashed it in my bag. about 2hours later i decided id have another bite, failed again, put it away again.
another two hours later, i decidedthere was no harm in trying to bite it open once more.... wrong, sliced me lip open on the blooming plastic, thought i'd opended in... actually NO, id just made a little nic in the corner .
It wouldnt normally have bothered me, but the guy that i had been wadering round biting plastic all day with, turned round at the end of the day, and just said.... "do you want to borrow my scissors? it might be easier to get into it". i swear i could have taken the scissors and stabbed his eyes out!!!!!

bloomin blisterpackaging... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. the person who invented it should have their liver removed by a rusty spork!!!!!!!!

    Rant FTW!!

Hmmm, it wasn't obvious after the first attempt (or maybe even before that ?) that just maybe, biting it wasn't the best way forward ?

Didn't it cross your mind to look or ask for some scissors ? Also, I think you may have some anger issues

I've yet to find packaging that can survive my Leatherman, when the plastic gets ridiculously tough just use the wire cutters to plough through it!

Also opens bananas rather nicely too...
