    Looking For Jobs in Canada!!!

i would like to ask anyone who knows of an agency/recruiter/website that specialises in helping you find a job (specially in the Healthcare/Medical/Nursing field) in Canada. now, i know you're gonna tell me to search for it in Google but i was wondering if anybody can recommend anything to me. thanks.

n.b. i'm currently working as a registered nurse (Band 5) in London.

Best bet is to grab a copy of the Nursing Times, there's always a couple of agency's advertising the back. Also get in touch with the RCN (assuming you're registered), they have some decent advice to give on the subject and how to go about getting organised.

There's also recruitment drives that typically go ahead twice a year in Earls Court, again they generally turn up either in the Nursing Times or the RCN magazine.

When it comes to most people looking to move out of the country, I'd be a bit of an annoyance, but nurses get the bad end of the stick nowadays So I can't blame you at all!

Google really is your friend, it's a very fast quick suggestion, and there are lots of sites. Try and look for some official scheme based one, they've got to have one for such an important profession.

Well, Unison are a bit of a generalist union. They really know sod all about nursing. If I were you, quit and join the RCN. I've had nothing but crap from Unison when I worked at Tesco's, and most of the nurses I know found the RCN a lot more useful.

I should add though, that as I understand it, it is best to be in the union that has the most power over your current place of work.

Obviously that doesn't apply to attempts to change country, but...
