aw you've got me blushing now - and its not even finished

Seriously - thankyou, its a little sideline of mine that sometimes takes up a little more of my time than it should, and this particular little project is running well into 3 figures cost-wise, so I've got to make a good job of it !

    Thanks peeps - too kind

Re: www.britmodeller.com (our very own Skii)

It looks extraordinarily good. I've got to respect that kind of craftmanship becasuse I could never hope to have the skill and patience to do it myself.

Only model making I've ever done was to build up a Tamiya Terra Scorcher RC car from scratch when I was 11. It took two weeks, I badly cut my finger in the process, and once it was built I had to dismantle it again to put some grease in the rear gearbox and front diff box (I thought it was optional ). It went like a good 'un after that mind you, though I knackered the suspension and broke the chassis through several full throttle wall impacts. I really ought to buy it a new battery and superglue the chassis up, and have some more fun with it.

Anyway, when it came to finishing the bodywork, I binned the standard sticker kit, bought a little tub of orange paint (Pretty much Marlboro orange, now I come to think of it), hacked the body out of the mould and slapped the paint in it as quick as I could.

I still think it looks totally mean. Rat look FTW.

All I can say is WOW - obviously I'd never have the skill to be able to do the most basic of models myself, but kudos to you Skii for being so skilled!

    Awesome work.

Last model I built was a Pug WRC car, well it was meant to be, it looked more like an explosion in a plastic factory by the time I'd finished.

I also hate you, Skii, for linking that hiroboy site. +1 for the bookmarks and -1 for the bank account.

    Thanks again peeps

I have a Porsche 962C to do as well, but I have some proper Rothmans decals on order which are taking a decade to arrive, hence no progress yet

Hiroboy is an alladins cave for modellers, not just car modellers either, plus Steve the chap who owns it is a very decent chap too, he's quite familiar with my credit card
