Just read this on BBC News and had to share!
An amazing story... and pretty revolutionary if it can be developed as they hope.

saw a clip of this earlier on the news, truly amazing stuff, hope it will help many in the future.
my friend at school had his finger sliced off in year 7.. in a door!
yes, painful..
down to about the 2nd joint..
and it greb back completely by the start of year 9..
it's still a little 'deformed' and doesn't quite look right, but it grew back, all of its own accord! :S:S:S
the end of my middle finger was sliced off by my sister when i was 2, so i can't flip people off,
then when i was 15 the end did grow back a bit, then went purple filled with puss and fell off.. very peculiar satisfying feeling when it did though.
i hope you claimed compensation from her
It's not uncommon for children's fingertips to regrow, but not for adults.
I was impressed. Even the nail as well!
could it be that you were so disgusted at the thought of purple puss, that you had to go vomit in the toilet, and when you got back your sandwich had gone cold.
as for the magic pixie dust, i wonder what other body parts can grow back? 'john wayne bobbit' comes to mind....
